Join Cross Country for 2009-2010.  

 

The 2008-2009 La Salle Boys Cross Country team had a sensational  season. Six young men made it to the State meet in Fresno by way of league finals, CIF prelims, and CIF finals. It was the first trip to state by a La Salle boy's team since 1989-1990.

Anyone interested in purchasing a cross-country team album may do so from Mrs. Cross. the cost is $64.24 (that includes tax+shipping) the deadline is Dec.11. So Hurry.

Austin Williams #4 in State (finishes only 8 seconds behind the winner)

Kelly Assinesi joins Brian Conroy and Austin Williams on the LS top-ten list for the Woodward Park course.

state meet team picture requested In the process of leading his team to a 16th place finish, Austin Williams broke the La Salle state meet course records with a time of 15:40. The previous LS record (16:01) was held by Neil Kalra '00. Austin Williams, the outstanding competitor, was the 1st division IV

runner from the Southern Section to finish, avenging a defeat in the SS Divisional finals.

Lancers Go to STATE!!!

 

The Lancers led by Austin Williams (4th overall), Kelly Assinesi, and Brian Conroy powered the La Salle Lancers into the state Meet.

The big three were aided by a strong race from Jeff Cross, Rhys McIntosh, Tim Reed and Martin Soriano

This will be the Lancers first trip to state as a team in 19 years.

The big three (Austin Williams '09, Brian Conroy '09 and Kelly Assinesi '11) did not disappoint leading La Salle boys team to the CIF finals after a long absence by La Salle from championship competition. Rhys McIntosh '09, Jeff Cross '11, Tim Reed '10, and Martin Soriano '12 help set the stage for a possible return to the state meet. The last

The Lancer girls end their season finishing 10th in Division IV's heat 1. Jackie Lara and Kelsey McAlister led the way.

Lancer Girls Advance to CIF

Led by Kelsey McAlister's amazing 19:42, the La Salle girls XC team advances to CIF.

La Salle had a team time of 1:43:40 over the 3 mile course.

La Salle advances to CIF with the following team:

Kelsey McAlister, Mariana Henry, Florence Kerns, Natalie McFaul, Jackie Lara,

Cheyenne Wingate, Sofia Robles, Joline Zelenski, and Meaghan Allen.

La Salle Varsity Boys Win League Championship

League MVP Kelly Assinesi cruised to an excellent 15:57.

Newly uncovered facts points to our very own Coach Tavera '02 (nee Skager) as the La Salle record holder for the Woodward Park course with a very fine time of 19:28.

Austin Williams wins the Division IV sweepstakes race in 15:30 @ the Mt. SAC Invitational (LS #3 all-time on Mt. SAC course).

All the Lancers ran well on the toughest course in the southern section.

League Meet #2

The Lancer Boys finished first in the Camino Real Meet.

The Lancer Girls finished third in the Del Rey Meet.

The rapidly improving Mariana Henry finished first for the Lancer girls.   Austin Williams (ranked #3 in state for division IV) remains unbeaten in league.

 

Brian Conroy makes the La Salle  Woodward Park top ten list. Austin Williams sets La Salle course record for Woodward Park @ the Clovis Invite. Kelsey McAlister crashes unto  the La Salle Woodward Park top ten list.

Big Day for Lancers at the Grant Nunnally Invite

The Lancer Boys led by Austin Williams' 15:06 and a strong run by Captain Brian Conroy finished 4th,

the girls team, led by Kelsey McAlister and Captain Florence Kerns, finished 3rd.

Marina Edwards finished 7th in the JV girl's race and Stevie Magallanes finished strong in the JV boy's race.

There were many Lancer award winners so stay tuned...
