Adrienne Lentz is Named
New Team Captain

Head Coach Fred Riley named senior Adrienne Lentz as the girl's team captain. This was quite a surprise to the senior, former cheerleader.  She joins Austin Williams, the boys captain, as leaders of the Lancer track and field teams. Coach Riley knows that each team member will applaud this decision. "Leadership, like gold is where you find it. Sometimes you have to dig before finding something special. I believe that Adrienne brings a special trait that is common to all of the past team captains."

Lori Makes the Top-Ten while Kelly hangs around for two victories

in La Salle's victory over Serra HS.

Storyline--The parents of freshman Kelly Assinesi though it was important enough to stay until the conclusion of the La Salle vs. Serra contest as opposed to beginning a family trip before today's meet. Kelly took full advantage of this thoughtful gesture by posting victories in the 1600 &3200 meters (the latter clinching the meet). There will be a big Lancer cheer for you, Mr. & Mrs. 'A'.

Also, another freshman, Lori Cuerington joined her big sister Sami as one of only two pairs of sisters to make a La Salle top-ten list. Lori's name will sit on the High Jump list at #7 all-time after her performance against the Cavaliers of Serra. Lori is proving that you can be "big-time" in track while simultaneously being "big-time" in soccer.
